Refresher Training Ladders and Stepladders

For the year 2024-25 the HSE reported 124 fatalities. 35 of these were related to ‘Falls from Height’, all were in the construction industry and 40% were ladders and stepladder related, i.e.15 deaths. As the use of ladders and step ladders is part of our daily work, Twenty Twelve Civils provides training and regular ‘refresher training’ in the use of ladders and stepladders for new and existing employees.

This year, the ½ day training was alternated with the annual Occupational Health Screening of our field members, both theory and practical training being provided by ‘The Safetymen’ from Clacton-on-Sea.

Already during January 2026, training has been provided for new employees performing roles as Slinger/Banksman and fork truck operators.
