Drug and Alcohol Training

In conjunction with the periodic review and updating of our Drugs and Alcohol Policy, four members of Twenty Twelve’s supervisory team, undertook ‘point of care’ training, for drug and alcohol testing on-site.

The training was organized by H&S Advisor Jon Hipkin, provided by Claritest DNA Laboratories of Norwich, and delivered by Carla Brown, Claritest’s Business development consultant.

The training was conducted at Twenty Twelve Civil’s new Telford Rd, Clacton on Sea, offices and covered:

  • An introduction to Drugs and Alcohol testing

  • Legal Compliance

  • Saliva and Urine testing under site conditions

  • The latest available products

  • The importance of a transparent ‘Chain of Custody’

  • Lab testing, results and timeframes

The training was not only informative but promoted several lively discussions and question sessions, before agreeing on the best way to carry our policy for drug and alcohol testing forward in the workplace.

Twenty Twelve Civils would like to thank both Claritest and Carla for putting together and delivering such an informative training session.
